I photographed this sweet little boy when he was only a few weeks old. He was so tiny and adorable, I just wanted to snuggle him the entire time. He was such a great baby and even though he was awake the entire time he was so content and happy. His parents are lucky to have such a wonderful little guy!
I know I am behind on blogging and because I feel bad here is a little sweet love for today…..and I promise….I will be flooding my blog with posts soon!
I know for a fact that you all want to see more of the sweet baby I posted a sneak peek of last week….well, your wish has been granted! Here he is…and yes, he is a stud. Just a little sneak peek for Mom and Dad……isn’t he adorable? I sure think he is!
Eight years ago I went to a small college in the south/east part of Arizona called Eastern Arizona College. There I became friends with Alvin and we’ve since kept in touch here and there. When I heard that his wife was pregnant I was so excited for them. Alvin is hilarious and I knew he would be such a fun dad! As their baby was growing and growing they discovered he had a congenital heart defect. I didn’t know much about them and when his wife posted a blog about it and how common it is I was shocked. They knew that he would have to have surgery but there was no way to say for sure how his heart would be when he was born. They didn’t even know if he would survive. When I read their blog and heard their situation I was in tears. I couldn’t imagine being in their situation and knowing that my baby might not make it. Throughout the entire process they were so positive, uplifting and inspiring. I knew that I wanted to do something for them to try and help bear their burden but I had no idea what I could possibly do for them. They already sounded like bigger people than me and for days I thought about how I could help them. When finally I realized that I could do something for them, I could photograph their family. I told her that I would LOVE to give of my talents, even if that meant showing up at the hospital. When he was born they realized there were a few more complications with his heart and thought they would have to do multiple surgeries, luckily they only had to do open heart surgery once. He is one STRONG little boy and definitely a fighter. He must have known that he was needed here and that his family loved him very much. Now he is six months old and healthy! I feel blessed to know them and to be able to offer them a little something in their time of need. Alvin and Jess, thank you for letting me capture the amazing love you have for your special little guy!
This family was such a joy to photograph! The two boys are so cute and had so much fun just playing with each other! They really were cracking each other up the whole time! Enjoy my favorites! One more thing…I have to post a story about this fam! We go to the same church and on Sunday I guess Mom and the oldest saw me in the distance….her pointed to me and said “cheese”….how cute is that!? Love it! Here is a just a little sample of what is coming up…..these boys are so ADORABLE together!
I was recently up in Utah to help Rob’s cousin out…she has four kids under the age of eight and just had twins!!! While I was there I was able to take pics of her boys, her twins, and her sister’s kids who were also visiting! I adore all of these kids and wish I lived closer to them so I could love on them all of the time!! But I guess I will just have to stare at their cute faces for now!
After having four boys she wanted to try for a one more, in hopes it would be a girl. But to get her girl she needed an extra little guy! They are so adorable and she will definitely be the princess of the house! This little guy turned one in June and all I can say is he is adorable! Cody has amazing blue eyes, chubby legs and a sweet laugh! I headed to the West Valley to take these photos and naturally it was extremely hot and humid that day! But we fought through the nasty weather and ended up with some great shots! For his birthday he received this dump truck…and he LOVED pushing it around! He would push it no matter where we went…even bare foot! I’m warning you….this little boy is so cute, he will melt your heart!
For Father’s Day this year we spent the weekend enjoying much cooler weather away from the valley with Rob’s family. We went camping up in the Sitgreaves National Forest, which is past Payson. The weather was amazing…despite being rained on here and there. While we were enjoying Mother Nature we did a small little session with my niece Brynleigh. Here are a few of my favorites! |
