Remember how I wanted to be more personal on my blog and update about my life more often….well, I’ve failed so far! But I promise I’ve had good reasons…yes, more than one reason!

April has been the busiest month for me this year…so far…and I have LOVED it!  All of my clients have been super fabulous.  And even though I haven’t blogged as much as I would like to and even though I may take longer than normal to edit your images, I promise there is a good reason….well besides the fact that I am human and sometimes I falter and let life get in the way.

Last weekend we moved….we left the one house we’ve lived in since we got married and let me tell you, moving is not my cup of tea.  It’s incredible how much time and work goes into moving!

And last but not least….the biggest reason I have neglected a few things lately, I’m pregnant. Yes, I’m going to be a Mother come November and I can’t even tell you how excited I am.  This has been a bit of a struggle for us.  We’ve been trying for quite some time and one day I will share how it went down but for now you can visit my personal blog and it gives you a glimpse into the last two years:  Rob and Amanda.

Last but not least….please disregard the random changes you will be seeing on my website/blog.  I’ve been in the process of changing things up and with the BIG things going on in my life right now it’s been neglected….but it’s at the top of my list for this summer.  I apologize now for things being under construction and hopefully my amazing web king…aka my husband…will have time to finish things up!

~I woke up with a headache this morning, it annoys me when this happens.

~My sister ran errands with me on Saturday, we hit up a spot I’ve known about for years and I’ve photographed for school but not for my business.  I wanted to take a few portraits of her…I will post soon…but there were people EVERYWHERE.  And I mean literally, all over the place.  Not sure what was going on.  And they weren’t the kind of people that you just walked by and forgot…let’s just say we didn’t stay very long.

~Superbowl was great, because my family was over.  I just love them…and we made home made pizza, YUM!

~It’s official……I’m going to Cancun in July for a wedding. I’M SO EXCITED!!!  The bride and groom and AWESOME  and I can’t wait to be with them on such a special day!  Watch out Mexico….here I come!!!

Recently, my best friend was in town and brought her new bundle of joy…well, to us it was new because we had never met her!  She is now 4 months old and just too cute for words!  I helped throw her a baby shower and afterwards we explored her sisters back yard and let me tell you…the area we photographed in was fabulous!  Can I please have that in my back yard???

Let’s get Personal:  For the last three night I’ve tossed and turned all night long…then I wake up in a funk…almost grumpy but not.  I’m not sure I love this pattern, it’s really making it hard for me to be motivated in the mornings.  I need to find a way to get out of this nasty funk!

I’m going to guess that the fact that I have an assistant will most likely surprise those I am close with and who know my business well….but it’s true, I have an assistant that is by my side everyday, all day long.  And when I sit at my desk for too long she happily reminds me that she needs some attention too, and this is how she does it….don’t mind the dirty glass desk…or the not so great pics….

That’s right, Naiya is my assistant.  She lays under my desk or behind my chair every single day.  She has this attachment issue where she is always right by my side…which of course I don’t mind.  The only time she leaves me is to go out back and work on her tan….I will have to get a picture of that for you, she lays on her back with all fours straight up in the air, and yes, it’s very lady like…haha.

Do you notice how she won’t look at me? She does this whenever I grab a camera, even if it’s the small digital one….she avoids the camera like it’s the plague.
